I’m a parent, software engineer and compulsive builder based in Bristol.

Previous versions of this biography were wordy and, quite frankly, full of crap. This one is shorter and more honest.

I’m a parent, a software engineer and an avid weightlifter. I played ice hockey for most of my life, then quit to take up Brazilian jiu-jitsu. One day soon I plan to start a boring and very profitable business.

I’m interested in software, product design, marketplaces and the mechanics of building useful businesses. I occasionally write about those things, mostly because writing forces me to make half-formed ideas clearer.
